THE ROYAL PARK PALACE HOTEL, VIENNA

My recent visit to Vienna, was as always, a combination of exploring museums, strolling through colourful gardens, being amazed by the stunning architecture and sipping on an endless supply of coffees. Every time i return to Vienna, I always stumble up on something I never seen the time before. As Vienna is such a huge city with so much to discover, after a long day of sight seeing, one of the best things was being able to return to the luxurious Royal Park Palace Hotel.

Situated next to a large park, it offers peace and serenity whilst being only a short walk from the famous Schonbrunn Palace. This unique combination makes it the perfect location for your stay in the city.

Entering the hotel, you are greeted by a luxurious lobby featuring a golden theme perfectly blended with a minimalistic, modern design. This theme continues throughout the hotel, from the reception to the rooms. The gold continues the illustrious feel of the nearby palace, whilst the open spaces and innovative style brings it bang up to date.

Some of the rooms on the upper floors have the perfect view of Schonbrunn Palace and it's gardens straight from the balcony. However, even if your room doesn't have a view you will not be disappointed. From the standard double rooms up to the executive suites, the rooms are elegant and comfortable. Both spacious and light with big windows allowing the sunshine to stream in and as the hotel only opened in October 2011, it possesses a fresh feel.

The hotel has other great facilities, a swanky bar next to the lobby with a terrace and executive lounge complete with food and drink which you can help yourself too. It has a gym and sauna facilities too. It is also home to Restaurant Regio which prepares classic Austrian cuisine in a modern way. In addition to all of this, the hotel offers a continental styled buffet breakfast in which you are completely spoiled for choice! From fresh fruit and cereal, to croissants and crispy bacon, there is so much to choose from. So as you can see, if Vienna wasn't so beautiful there is really no need to leave the hotel at all!

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Royal Park Palace Hotel. It was the perfect base for exploring Vienna and I loved how easy the hotel made everything for me. Checking in I was provided with a map of the city and the receptionist highlighted the closest Metro stops and where points of interest. The hotel's bar, restaurant and breakfast buffet meant I didn't need to think or plan ahead, I could simply enjoy my time in this wonderful city and know everything I needed was waiting for me back at the hotel.

Half This World Away stayed at the The Royal Park Palace Hotel as a guest of the hotel. All opinions and photos remain my own!
